Day 1 Arrive in Niš
Meet your driver at Niš airport (or in Belgrade, see extras). Afternoon walk with your guide through Niš Fortress and the old centre. In the evening, your first festival concerts inside the fortress walls.

Day 2 Mediana, the Skull Tower and the Sićevo gorge
A morning with your guide at Mediana, the late Roman villa outside Niš, and at the Skull Tower. After lunch, drive east into the Sićevo gorge of the Nišava for views from the road and a short walk. Back in Niš for the evening concerts.

Jazz inside the walls
Each August the 18th-century fortress becomes the festival's main venue, with stages under the walls and music late into the night.
Constantine's city
Naissus was the birthplace of Constantine the Great; at Mediana you walk the floors of a late Roman villa outside the town.
The painters' gorge
In 1905 the painter Nadežda Petrović brought together the first Yugoslav art colony in the Sićevo gorge, considered the oldest in Serbia.
