Your day, step by step

Full day Hosted Takovo, a village lunch and Oplenac
Drive south from Belgrade on the Miloš Veliki motorway to Takovo, where Miloš Obrenović raised the Second Serbian Uprising on Palm Sunday 1815. See the memorial of Takovski grm and the small museum of the uprising. Continue into the villages below Rudnik mountain for lunch with a local family. In the afternoon, cross to Topola, the seat of Karađorđe, leader of the First Serbian Uprising, and visit his restored town before climbing Oplenac hill to the Church of St George, covered inside with mosaics and home to the crypt of the Karađorđević dynasty. Return to Belgrade in the early evening.
